Leaderboard names are public on the crossword page, so use a nickname if you prefer. Email addresses are never shown publicly.
We only send marketing emails if you have opted in, for example by ticking the insights box. Every marketing email lets you unsubscribe, or you can email info@itutitech.com. We never sell your personal information.
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. The crossword saves your progress, your chosen name and, if you confirmed your email, a sign-in token in your browser's local storage on your device, so you can carry on where you left off. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings. The crossword's admin area uses a session cookie for our staff only.
Pages load fonts and code from third-party content delivery services (Google Fonts, the Tailwind CSS CDN and unpkg). As with any website, those services receive your IP address when your browser fetches the files.
We use trusted service providers to run the website and email: our web host Hostinger, which stores the website, its database and server logs, and Microsoft, whose Microsoft 365 service hosts our email, including form submissions and crossword emails. They process data only on our instructions. We may also share information where the law requires it. We don't share your information with anyone else for their own purposes.
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it transferred to you or another organisation. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@itutitech.com; we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our data, and keeping data files out of public reach. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
